Background to Psalms 3

Psalms as the Song book of the Bible
Many of the Psalms have been put to song or were songs to begin with. Here is a rendition of Psalms 3 by the group the Sons of Korah.

In their website, under the heading STUDY, the Sons of Korah as musicians summarise each psalms.
Try singing Psalms 3.

* Linguistic feature
Synonymous parallelism: the first line is echoed in the second, with only a slight change of terms: Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? (Ps. 2:1; cf. also 3:1).
* The back-story
Psalm 3, when David fled from Absalom (2 Samuel 15:14–16)
