Background to Psalms 9

1. Japan Earthquake: A powerful 7.0 magnitude earthquake has struck off the west cost of Japan.
2. Baghdad Funeral Bombed: A suicide bomb attack in the funeral killing 21 people and 46 injured.
3. Beirut ISIS Suicide Bombing: Suicide bomb attack killing 43 in the densely populated district is part of the southern suburb of Beirut known as Dahyeh.
4. Mexico Earthquake: 4.3 Magnitude earthquake leading to 8 earthquakes in the past 7 days.
5. Lebanon Suicide Bombings: Twin suicide bombings last night, at least 43 killed and 200 injured.
6. Paris Terrorist Bombings: Terrorist attacks in various places resulting in death of more than 100 people.

Psalm 9 asks the hard questions: 

"God, do you know what is happening down here? 

Will you help us? 

Will right eventually triumph or will evil nations and evil governments overwhelm Your people?" 

Psalm 9 is David's lament that is even relatable today.
