Background to Psalms 6

"Jesus quoted from the Psalms numerous times. Clearly he had spent a lot of time praying through the Psalms — probably, like other Jews in his day, this is how he learned to pray. Jesus lived the Psalms. Often he identified his life experiences in those of the Psalmist". This quote from the website Soul Shepherd, the quote has interesting implications. Even if you disagree with the degree of influence of the Psalms in Jesus' life in the quote, the Psalms has certainly been called the book that transformed the lives of some famous Christians:

Psalms has been the magnum opus for Charles H Spurgeon;
Psalms has been called the "thunder" in Martin Luther's work;
Psalms has been used to express St Augustine's emotions during his spiritual journey.

How does this psalm affect you emotionally, mentally and spiritually? What would living this psalm mean?
