Background to Psalms 36

Pray this psalm and ask God to forgive you from sin. The beginning of this psalms implies people who plot to do great evil but sin is often more mundane than that. Consider marriage where traditionally a couple commit to as a intention to love for a life time. Sin threatens this commitment in these ways, none of these threats are spectacular-- all play out in every day situations. Think about the way sin itself out in a flat, in a committee, in a project group or amongst best of friends.

Yet, this psalm expresses some of the most beautiful praise of/to God. Meditate on God's goodness through this song.

To look deeper into this psalm, Steven Cole helps us unpack it, here.
